Wales offers Castles in abundance, a Coast
line to rival any in the world, and the most easily accessible mountain
walking in the UK. The Snowdonia National Park covers much of North Wales,
and with its heritage in mining, is covered by an abundance of narrow guage
railways. The National Mountaineering Centre at Plas y Brenin is testament
to the rugged terrain which is ideal for Walking, Climbing, Mountaineering,
Abseiling, etc. Ideal locations for exporation are Betws-y-coed, Dolgellau,
Bala, amongst others.
The coastline from Porthmadog via Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl, is equally
popular with leisure seekers and serious water sports enthusiasts. The
National water Sports Centre is located in Plas Menai in the Menai Strait.
Further south is the coast national park of Pembrokeshire, with the popular
resorts of Fishguard to Tenby.
The Capital Cardiff offers a new vibrancy with the Cardiff Bay development,
well worth a visit.
